Bundling Access with Built-For-Broadbrand Content and Services |

Broadband is the future. Broadband is a catalyst in the growing consumer interest in paid services on the Internet. Faster connectivity represents a powerful channel for bringing Yahoo!'s content and services - things like communication services, information services, commerce services and entertainment - right into homes around the world.
Fast connectivity sells premium services. Some 59 percent of Yahoo! users now access us via a broadband connection. Because the Internet has already become essential in their lives, it follows that they're likely to see - and be willing to pay for - more value in additional services they can receive on that fast connection. Consequently, in 2002, we increased our focus on combining services with access in convenient bundles.
SBC Yahoo! DSL is our first broadband access launch. In partnership with SBC, we launched our first bundled offering. Designed to take full advantage of a broadband connection, and available to more than 26 million customer locations in SBC's 13-state region, SBC Yahoo! DSL delivers an unparalleled online experience, with new levels of personalization and ease-of-use, rich content, superior interactivity and a bundle of useful premium services for the broadband household, such as file storage, premium mail accounts, virus protection and parental controls. Subsequent to year-end, we unveiled Yahoo! Platinum, a paid broadband video subscriber service, which features news, sports and entertainment clips from branded content providers, such as FOX, CBS and ABC News. In 2003, we also plan to offer compelling bundled services for use on any Internet connection, starting with Yahoo! Plus, an assortment of essential communications, personalization and security services.
More broadband and wireless, including Europe. In addition, we are pursuing more partnerships with open gateways that make Yahoo! content and messaging available through other broadband carriers and on wireless devices. For example, users on major wireless networks will be able to send and receive messages to and from Yahoo! Instant Messenger users who are on their PCs. We are working closely with Helsinki-based Sonera zed Ltd., a leading provider of entertainment, communication and information services for mobile devices. A promotional partnership with BT Broadband, a leading telecom provider in the UK, offers users a premium, personalized Internet package called Yahoo! UK Plus.
Products and strategies equal a compelling experience. Worldwide, our products and strategies are proving their appeal. By delivering convenient bundled services, we demonstrate Yahoo!'s unique ability to market a broad set of premium customer-centric services and content while creating a compelling experience.
